Ciara Costello: Founder, Creative Producer, and Well-Being Coordinator

Ciara is an Irish creative producer and wellbeing coordinator whose career is defined by a commitment to impactful, human-centred storytelling. With over two decades of experience in the arts, she began her career in production before evolving into creative producing, collaborating closely with directors and screenwriters to guide projects from concept to delivery across both the Irish and international film industries. Ciara has a deep grá for art in all its forms and is passionate about championing fellow filmmakers at every stage of their journey, working closely with creatives to provide both artistic collaboration and practical support while ensuring their well-being remains a priority throughout the process.

Her professional reach extends into high-level industry curation and international leadership. In 2023, she served as a submissions judge for the Richard Harris International Film Festival and the Meath Film Festival, evaluating emerging talent and global narratives.

In 2025, Ciara founded Brí Films, a County Meath-based production company rooted in a philosophy of care-led and inclusive filmmaking. Integrating her expertise as a wellbeing coordinator into the production process, she fosters environments where people feel safe, valued, and heard—believing that the strongest creative work emerges from supportive and respectful spaces. Under the Brí Films banner, she continues to champion diverse voices and emotionally resonant storytelling.

A vocal advocate for women in the film industry, Ciara regularly contributes to the wider film community as a panelist, most recently at the 2025 Louth International Film Festival, where she shared insights on the future of inclusive production practices and the application of Brí Films’ “HEART Principles”—Honesty, Excellence, Accountability, Respect, and Teamwork. Through her unique blend of artistic instinct, industry experience, and dedication to wellbeing, Ciara continues to build sustainable, inclusive productions where both the story and the people behind it can truly thrive.

David Costello: Production Designer and Director of Creative Development

David is a well of knowledge behind the camera, bringing artistic vision to life through innovative concepts and striking production design. With a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of visual storytelling, he plays a pivotal role in shaping the look and feel of every Brí Films project, ensuring each story is not only compelling but visually distinctive and emotionally resonant. His experience spans across high-level industry work, having contributed as an animator with Warner Bros., where he honed his craft in world-building, character, and visual dynamics, and working across several productions with RTÉ, gaining invaluable insight into broadcast standards and storytelling for diverse audiences.

David’s creative development leadership is central to Brí Films’ identity, guiding projects from early concept through to screen with clarity, originality, and cohesion. His ability to translate ideas into powerful visual language elevates every production, while his collaborative approach ensures that each creative voice is supported and enhanced. Through his work, David helps define a bold and recognisable visual style for Brí Films, where storytelling and design work seamlessly together.
